Obama speech

Every Obama speech is fraught with lies and half-truths. He relies on his belief in the ignorance of his audience, and that Americans are too lazy and soft to recognize his dishonesty. When your record is abysmal, you can’t tell the truth.

Obama, hasn’t a clue on how to fix the economy. Instead, without ideas, he copied Teddy Roosevelt’s 100-year-old speech in Osawatomie. With Barack Obama, it’s always yesterday’s answers to today’s problems…and this is the man they told us was a genius. The president maintains that the rich get richer by making everyone poorer. Ah…bitterness and envy, the illegitimate stepchildren of hope and change.

The fix, of course, is higher taxes, but when the taxes to pay for ObamaCare go into effect in 2013 and the Bush tax cuts expire, everyone’s taxes will increase — not just the highest income brackets. People in the top 1%, while earning 17% of the nation’s income, already pay almost 40% of all taxes and are scheduled for an almost 20% rise even before the president’s proposed increases.

White House officials

White House officials and some leading columnists have increasingly reported over the past few months that President Barack Obama’s regulatory agenda is not hurting our economy.

Job creators across the nation are experiencing a different reality. They see the real impact of Washington red tape — how it increases uncertainty, stifles growth and prevents job creation. From our newest entrepreneurs to titans of industry like Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase and Steve Jobs, America’s job creators have made it clear that the president’s policies are making it harder and more expensive to hire workers.

Obama’s Keystone XL Indecision

It didn’t take long for President Obama’s delaying of the Keystone XL pipeline to start having disastrous economic consequences. Fox 16 reports from Little Rock, Ark., that 60 employees at a local steel pipe manufacturer are now out of work as a direct result of the President’s indecision:

Layoffs and a brief company shutdown is what employees face at Welspun Tubular Company, which makes steel pipes for the oil industry.

Company leaders say miles of pipe are on the property and that has caused five dozen employees to lose their jobs. The pipes would be part of the Keystone oil pipeline, which is a project running oil from Canada to Texas.

But plans are delayed on the federal level. Now leaders say the local job market is affected.

“We had to make a staffing reduction with some of the temporary employees. Due to the KXL pipeline not being shipped out. We have 500 miles of pipe just sitting in the yard, expected to be shipped out, that some of the employees were working on,” said President Dave Delie.
